The Impact of CPEC on Infrastructure Development, A-Double Mediating Role of Project Success Factors & Project Management
Abstract
The economic growth of the countries depends on their monetary relationships with each other and the mega
projects such as CPEC which joints the countries geographically along with socially & economically. In addition,
this thing is getting attention for the researchers nowadays. Thus, the present study aim is to examine the impact
of CPEC on infrastructure development along with the mediating role of project management and project success
factors influencing the nexus of mega plan CPEC and infrastructure development. The present study has adopted
the quantitative technique and the data has been gathered by using the questionnaires from the respondents
and smart-PLS has been used for the analysis purpose. The results revealed that all the dimensions of
infrastructure development such as environmental protection, economy-boosting, leadership, and OBOR
initiative except economic relations have positive nexus with CPEC development. The results also exposed that
the project management and project success factors positively mediating among the nexus of CPEC and
infrastructure development. These findings provided the guidelines to the policymakers that they should develop
the effective policies that enhance the mega plan projects like CPEC among the countries around the globe that
enhance the economic growth of the world.
