Analysis of The Effect of Evidence-Based Nursing on Postoperative Rehabilitation of Patients with Tongue Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the effect of evidence-based nursing on postoperative rehabilitation of tongue squamous cell carcinoma (TSCC). Methods: Eighty-two patients with TSCC admitted to our hospital from April 2017 to May 2019 were collected, among which 35 cases treated with routine nursing were set as the control group (CG), and the rest 47 cases treated with evidence-based nursing were enrolled as the research group (RG). The scores of VAS, SAS, HAMD, PSQI and SF-36 were recorded. The postoperative complications, self-management ability and satisfaction of the nursing contents of patients in our hospital were observed. Results: The VAS score in the RG was significantly lower than that in the CG at 1 week and 2 weeks after operation (P<0.05). After nursing intervention, the SAS and HAMD scores in the RG were remarkably lower than those in the CG (P<0.05). The post-treatment PSQI score in the RG was evidently lower than that in the CG (P<0.05). Further observation of SF-36 scores showed that the physical health (physical functioning, PF; role-physical, RP; bodily pain, BP; general health, GH) and mental health (vitality, VT; social functioning, SF; role-emotional, RE; mental health, MH) of the patients in the RG were significantly higher than those in the CG (P<0.05). The patients in the RG were markedly higher than those in the CG in scientific diet, reasonable exercise, taking medication according to doctor's advice, and regular review (P<0.05). The satisfaction of nursing care given by the patients in the RG was 97.88%, which was significantly higher than 77.14% in the CG (P<0.05). Conclusion: Evidence-based nursing can alleviate postoperative pain, anxiety and depression in TSCC patients, reduce the occurrence of complications, and improve their sleep quality and quality of life (QOL).
