Forensic Psych ological Briefing: Children sexual abuse


Abstract
Forensic psychology represents a classic speciality in psychology among Anglo-Saxon countries which is growing important in Spain everyday, being usual that the forensic experts advise our Courts and judges about psychological issues, as it happens in other countries of our cultural context. It turns out habitual that the courts request psychological examination of those minors who denounce sexual abuses, since to the immaturity of the cognitive processes in the child it is necessary to join the frequent manipulation of one of the parts that it (he, she) wants to criminalize to other one, specially in difficult cases of separation or divorce. In this article there appears an example of expert report on a case of alleged sexual infantile abuse preceded of some considerations on the role of the expert in this type of cases.
