DIAGNOSIS AND EVALUATION OF INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS AND THEIR DISTURBANCES

Abstract
The purpose of this article is the assessment and diagnosis of the interpersonal relationship and its perturbations. There is a theoretical revision and different type of definitions of the interpersonal relations and the development of children and adult interpersonal patterns. Cognitive psychology and attachment theory are very important theoretical models for studying this subject. On the other side, the interpersonal diagnosis is a problem because there is no consensual taxonomy. The dimensional models for the diagnostic of the interpersonal disease could be an alternative. Finally, we illustrate different test for attachment patterns and interpersonal relationships assessment that could be used in individual, family and couple intake process. During a long time, the family models reject assessment methods because they named the patient in an individual diagnosis without including the dynamic family. Actually tests are very useful in clinical practice. This article includes tests used and adapted in our country, advantages and disadvantages.
