Influence of Family Environment in the Development of Thought in Children with Very Low birth Weight in Early School Age


Abstract
The influence of the family in the development of thinking in school age of children who had very low weight at birth was assessed. The observation and interview to the family were used; also a battery of the psychological tests was included in the study. The results show the influence of home environment, the development of thinking in school age children was lower in infant very low weight at birth. Incorrect methods of education prevail in parents of infants with very low weight at birth. Children with less settled family environment show inadequate development of thought.
