Series on Upgrading Methodology in clinical Psychology. SINGLE-CASE STUDY DESIGN IN CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY RESEARCH. A LINK BETWEEN RESEARCH AND CLINICAL PRACTICE


Abstract
The main characteristics of single case studies will be presented and a short review along the history, will be done. Later, a description of the types of existing single case studies will be exposed, and a analysis in relation to the case studies and the intergroup studies will be shown. Finally, both advantages and disadvantages that this type of studies presents will be enumerated.
