Factorial Structure and Internal Consistency of Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale Among Adolescent Women With Eating Disorders

Abstract
The aim of this study was the assessment of internal consistency and factorial structure of MPSF using factorial confirmatory analysis among adolescent women with eating disorders. Participated 273 women (143 diagnosed with eating disorder and 130 without eating disorder) they completed all the MPS-F and were interviewed. The confirmatory factorial analysis corroborated the four factors model with adequate adjusted index. The internal consistency for factors ranged between 0,70 and 0,88. Moreover, three of the four factors distinguished between women with eating disorders and without. These findings support the four-factor structure for MPS-F. However, there are inconsistencies regarding factors composition in comparison with previous research.
