Abstract
This article aims to verify the effect of systemic family therapy on the symptomatology of internalizing and externalizing factors in adolescents. The sample was of 109 adolescents, of which 56% were men and 54% women, with a mean age of 15.1 years. Systemic family therapy, under the conditions in which it has been applied, has had a statistically significant and clinically relevant effect. The success rate attributable to treatment was 46% in the Internalizing factor, 43% in Outsourcer, 60% in Somatic Complaints, 43% in Anxiety / Depression and 55% in Aggressive Behavior. These results contribute to the need to align this type of health intervention with the school environment in adolescents.
