SUBJECTIVE WILL OF AGRICULTURAL WASTE UTILIZATION AND ITS INFLUENCING FACTORS

Abstract
This paper mainly explores the subjective will of farmers on the utilization of agricultural waste. By random sampling, 403 farmer households in north-eastern China were surveyed on their attitudes towards the matrix-based recycling of agricultural wastes. The survey results were analysed by the logistic model. The results show that the subjective will of agricultural waste utilization is severely suppressed by the degree of concurrent employment, and greatly bolstered by training, the presence of centralized waste treatment facilities and the participation in professional cooperative organizations; male farmers are more willing to recycle agricultural wastes than their female counterparts. The research findings enrich the studies on people-oriented subjective will, and provide guidance for policies on agricultural waste utilization.
