PROMOTIVE EFFECT OF PSYCHOLOGICAL CAPITAL ESTABLISHMENT ON PROFESSIONAL ETHICS OF FINANCIAL WORKERS

Abstract
The behaviour of financial workers is regulated by professional ethics, which is in turn influenced by the establishment of psychological capital (PsyCap). However, there is little report on how PsyCap establishment influences the professional ethics of financial workers. To make up for the gap, this paper examines the current situation of the professional ethics among financial workers through questionnaire survey and structural interview, focusing on accounting methods, work teams, internal control and external supervision. The respondents were financial workers from both state-owned enterprises and private enterprises. The survey results were analysed in details to disclose the effects of PsyCap establishment on the professional ethics of financial workers. The results show that China has a relative complete ethics system for financial industry, and most financial workers are certified to work; the PsyCap establishment has a significant positive correlation with the moral level of financial workers, especially that of female financial workers; the hope dimension of PsyCap boasts the greatest positive effect on the moral level of financial workers, while the self-efficacy dimension shows no significant effect. The research lays the theoretical basis for the further study of the professional ethics of financial workers.
