Attachment and Psychopathology: Comparison study between adult attachment styles with and without anxious-depressive symptomatology

Abstract
We developed a study to compare existingdifferences between attachment styles as a function of thepresence or absence of anxious-depressive symptoms within aChilean adult sample. In doing so, we evaluated 366 participantsthrough the CaMir test (Pierrehumbert et al., 1996) whichmeasures the adult attachment, and the OQ 54.2 test (Lambertet al., 1996) that evaluates anxious-depressive symptoms. Theresults indicate that there are significant differences betweenboth groups, such that the anxious-depressive symptomatologyis associated to insecure attachment styles.
