INFLUENCE OF SPORTS PSYCHOLOGY ON SPORTS PERFORMANCE: AN ANALYSIS BASED ON ELECTROENCEPHALOGRAM SIGNALS

Abstract
This paper mainly explores the influence of sports psychology on sports performance based on electroencephalogram (EEG) signals. Inspired by the theory of sports psychology, the author carried out EEG experiments on athletes of different sports. During the experiments, the EEGs of the subjects were collected in the quiet state, motion imagery state and mental arithmetic state. Through the analysis of the experimental results, it is concluded that the athletes of different sports have no significant difference in the wave of the brain regions, but differ greatly in the activation degree of brain between different positions in the motion imagery state and the mental arithmetic state; The percentage of the EEG power at the δ and θ wave bands in the left and right hemispheres of the experts is lower than that of the novices, and the opposite result was observed at the α and β wave bands. The research results shed new light on improving the skills and sports performance of athletes.
