Clinical Investigation of the Effect of Cancer Pain Plaster in the Treatment of Patients with Moderate to Severe Cancer Pain

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the effect of applying Cancer Pain Plaster in the treatment of patients with moderate to severe cancer pain. Methods: A total of 100 patients with moderate to severe cancer pain admitted to our hospital from May 2019 to June 2020 were recruited. The patients were divided into the control group and the treatment group using a random number table method. Thirty patients were divided into the control group and 70 into the treatment group. The patients in control group received three-step cancer pain control therapy. The patients in treatment group received additional Cancer Pain Plaster on basis of the three-step therapy. The effect of pain relief and safety after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results: The rate of complete pain relief in the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group (52.92% vs. 26.08%, P<0.05), and the rate of inefficiency in the treatment group was significantly lower than that of the control group (10% vs. 31.25%, P<0.05). The incidence of adverse effect in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group (2.25% vs. 8.08%, P<0.05). Conclusion: The application of Cancer Pain Plaster to patients with moderate to severe cancer pain can effectively relieve the pain of the patients and improve their life quality. It is worthy of clinical application.
