Neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF-1) is a genetic disorder. This disorder affects 1 in every 3000 people. Research has shown a higher prevalence of ADHD among these children than among normal population. The aim of this study is focus on the analysis of symptoms of ADHD, from a dimensional perspective, and the analysis of this disorder according to Diagnostic Statistical Manual DSM-IV-TR, from a categorical perspective. Sample was composed of 16 participants with NF- 1. The results show that the 37.5 % of sample was affected by ADHD according to DSM-IV. Analysis of the different dimensions of ADHD reveals the relevance of attention problems. To a lesser extent externalizing problems as well as ADHD should be considered.
