The User Perception of an Outpatient Treatment Program for Addictions an Exploration Focused on Treatment Satisf action

Abstract
This study examines 30 users’ perception in an outpatient treatment program for addictions through the implementation of a satisfaction survey based on the Treatment Perceptions Questionnaire (TPQ) developed by Marsdern, J., et al (2001). An adaptation of the TPQ questionnaire was employed to assess the user’s satisfaction regarding the drug treatment program in which they are assisted. The level of reliability obtained with the new instrument (sum of all items) was α = 0,9114. The instrument designed from the TPQ adaptation has shown to be valid and reliable for the exploration of the level of satisfaction of treatment addiction users. The results have shown a high level of satisfaction with the treatment program, as well as with the interdisciplinary therapeutic team. This study also highlights the importance of the level of perceived satisfaction by the users and the relationship with the treatment adherence.
