Case Studies with Complex Patients: Tracking and assessing therapeutic process modalities
Abstract
In Argentina; clinical psychologists' practice is regulated by the Law of Psychologists, and is included within the New Law of Mental Health. Nevertheless; although there are increasingly more professional psychologists (Muller y Pallavezzatti, 2015), there are also para-professionals who practice some kind of self-stated psychological treatment. It is known that there are probably many ways to achieve mental health (Lambert, 2004) and consequently a large number of 'therapeutic factors". In this article, we are dedicated to describe psychotherapeutic procedures within a professional disciplinary context, following methodological principles of single case studies. The description of systematic case studies in the present article, intend to provide examples on how psychotherapy, as a scientific practice, can be assessed in natural contexts.
