SPANISH TRANSLATION AND VALIDATION OF THE SCALE FOR IDENTIFYING "STOCKHOLM SYNDROME" REACTIONS (SISSR) RELATED TO DATING VIOLENCE IN MEXICAN WOMEN
Abstract
The aim of the present study was to translate and validate the Scale to Identify Reactions of Stockholm Syndrome (SISSR) related to intimate partner violence in Mexican women. Four hundred eighty six university women participated. The results showed a good internal consistency (Cronbach's Alpha = .92, Omega = .90). Likewise, the SISSR correlated positively with the Violence Scale and Severity Index (r = .59, p <.001). The exploratory factor analysis showed the relevance of the three factor model, which was confirmed by the confirmatory factor analysis. A reduced version of the scale is proposed for the Mexican population with adequate adjustment indexes (CMIN = 2.7, GFI = 0.93, CFI = 0.91, RMSEA = 0.06).
