An Integrative Model in the Approach of Children and their Families. Its application in psychoneonatology and general pediatric rooms' settings


Abstract
This article aims to highlight the importancethat models of integration have in the clinical field, in theprocess of searching increased efficiency and effectiveness ofpsychotherapy. Application to institutional clinical contexts: bothin situation of neonatal hospitalization (psycho-neonatology)and in general pediatric inpatient rooms will be illustrated.Different issues on psychological intervention will be identifiedfrom the perspective of the baby, parents and health care team.Psychological intervention allows the development of new neuralconnections, favors strategies to deal with critical situations andfacilitates personal fulfillment through the professional workdone.
