AUDIENCE PSYCHOLOGY AND PREFERENCES OF DRAMA CULTURE
Abstract
The drama culture has not developed as good as the other forms of traditional arts in China. To promote the development of drama culture, it is necessary to fully consider the psychology and preferences of the audience. Based on the theory of reception psychology, this paper carries out a questionnaire survey on residents of Qingdao, China by random sampling. The survey data were analyzed to clarify the psychological mechanism of the audience of drama culture. In addition, the psychological factors of the aesthetic reception of drama culture were discussed from multiple perspectives. The results show that the audience of drama culture are generally aged over 55; the psychological mechanism of the audience covers three aspects: collective ritual, role effect and language experience; the aesthetic reception of drama culture is affected by four factors: sensation and perception, attention, imagination as well as emotion and understanding of drama aesthetics. The research helps to correct the psychological misunderstandings in the drama culture.
