EMOTIONAL GUIDANCE OF COLLEGE STUDENTS WITH EMPLOYMENT ANXIETY CONSIDERING PSYCHOLOGICAL HEALTH

Abstract
Employment anxiety is a common problem among college students, especially when the economic climate is gloomy. This paper probes deep into the employment anxiety of college students, and tries to develop coping strategies from the perspective of psychological health. A total of 400 college students were subjected to an evaluation of employment anxiety. Then, fifty highly anxious students were evenly divided into two groups for a four-week psychological counseling program. One group received cognitive reappraisal, an innovative form of group counseling, and the other received the traditional group counseling. Through comparative analysis, it is learned that employment anxiety is common among college graduates; psychological counseling has a certain relieving effect on the employment anxiety of college students; cognitive reappraisal outshines the traditional group counseling in the reduction of employment anxiety. The research results provide a safe, healthy and non-pharmacological treatment method for employment anxiety of college students.
