A Study of a Clinical Population of Children from an Epidemiological Perspective
Abstract
We present the results of the study of a clinical population of 1804 children along 1999-2008 from epidemiological perspectives. The Achenbach Child Behaviour Checklist and a Socio-demographic Survey was administered to the adults in charge of the children. Results: the female clinical population has an average of total scores slightly higher than the male one. Statistically significant associations were found between some syndromes and socio-demographic variables: gender, age of children and parents, father's level of instruction, marital status of parents, the quantity of children in the family and levels of overcrowding. Discussion: we didn't found variations on the behavioural problems and on the socio-demographic variables but statistically significant associations throughout the studied period.
