PHYSICAL HEALTH PROMOTION OF MINORITY YOUTH BASED ON COGNITIVE NEUROPSYCHOLOGICAL FACTORS
Abstract
Physical health is a foundation for the overall development of adolescents. In China, the education circle has paid special attention to the physical education of adolescents in ethnic monitories. However, there is not yet any report that explores the issue from the perspective of cognitive neuropsychology. This paper introduces the factors of cognitive neuropsychology into the promotion of physical health of minority youth in China. The research starts with an in-depth discussion about the physical health conditions and problems of minority youth in China. The discussion shows that some minority youth differ from their counterparts of the majority race, due to social, school, family and individual factors. On this basis, the author designed a physical health promotion program for minority youth. To verify the effectiveness of the designed program, a control experiment was carried out, with only the experimental group being intervened by our program. The physical health indices of all subjects were measured before and after the experiment, and subjected to contrastive analysis. The results show that the proposed program can effectively promote the physical health of minority
youth. The research findings lay a solid basis for further exploration into the education of minority youth.
